A day after appealing to the Maoists to call off their stir and come to the negotiating table, Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala met Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his residence in Maharajgunj Monday afternoon to reiterate the same.During the meeting, Koirala is learnt to have personally requested the Maoist chief to withdraw the nationwide agitation the party started from yesterday saying that the political parties were not serious towards their demands.
In response, Dahal said that the Maoist party will keep the doors for negotiation open while continuing with their nationwide protest programmes, which he assured will be "peaceful".
