Chelsea have slapped a £30 million price tag on Ashley Cole, in an attempt to fend off Real Madrid's
interest in the left-back.Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on reuniting with his former player at the Bernabeu as he looks to build his squad for the upcoming season.
However, Chelsea have emerged by declaring that the left-back is not for sale unless the player himself makes it clear he wants to leave Stamford Bridge, according to The Independent.
Cole, who has endured a dismal World Cup campaign with England in South Africa, is believed to be unhappy with life in England after his public split from his wife Cheryl and is looking for a fresh start abroad.
That could have alerted the interest of Real Madrid, who should easily meet the £30m valuation set by the Blues.
